Nice to meet you!

I’m so happy you’re here. Let me introduce myself;

My name is Hailey Selk and I’m an advocate for mental health.

I was born and raised in Sudbury, I could always be found playing hockey or volleyball growing up. My passion for mindfulness bloomed when I participated in a mindfulness group at Laurentien University in high school. My therapist had suggested it to me at the time because of my debilitating anxiety and depression. I had tried so many different avenues and strategies to cope with these very intense feelings but nothing worked.

What made mindfulness an effective tool for me were the concepts of acceptance and self-compassion. I had never realized how much power I could take back by being in the present moment. The things I learned about myself and my environment helped me manage my emotions and set myself up for success. It isn’t a one size fits all approach but it’s an adaptable one that can help you.

I’ve experienced the benefits of mindfulness first hand and have witnessed the amazing difference it has made in the lives of my friends, family, and clients.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Behavioural Science from Humber Polytechnic and a Social Service Worker Diploma from Cambrian College. I love working with people of all ages and demographics. I have experience working mostly with children and teenagers, however have worked with adults in community based settings.

I believe in meeting people where they are at.

& Everyone has the strength they are seeking already within them.

Thank you for being here. I hope to meet you soon!
